Key West, FL 33040 RE: Key West International Airport Dear Ms. Peacock: After a number of discussions with the Fire Marshal's office, it appears that we are now clear as to the revised scope of \'Iork required by our sprinkler contractor. As we understand it, the ceWng space (combustible blind space) on the ground noor of the terminal must be sprinkled along with the outside baggage area. At this point, no fire sprinklers will be required in the 2nd fioor of the terminal or in t.he existing fire station. However, some type of alarm I notification system will be required for the 2nd floor. Based on this scope, I have attached the proposal from our sprinkl~E: contractor to provide the system now required. The change to the contract would be as follows: Alert Fire Sprinkler (labor & material) Misc. repairs to the baggage area ceiling Contractors profit and overhead Total $23,680.00 2,316.00 2,605.00 $28,661. 00 A t this time, we are still unclear as to the eslant of the alarm I notification that the Fire Marshal will require for the 2nd fioor, so \Ve are unable to price that phase of the work. We are going to try to meet with the Fire Marshal and get that resolved, but, until that is done, I would suggest you review this proposal and, if acceptable, proceed with the change order process. If this additional work is accepted, we will need fifteen (15) days added to the contract time. Should you hsve any questions or need additional information, give me a call. Sincerely, D.L.
