THE ORIGINAL CONTRACT REQUIRED SWALES ALONG THE SOUTH AND WEST SIDES OF THE
BUILDING. CHANGE ORDER #1 INCLUDES INSTALLING CULVERT PIPE TO ACCOMMODATE
EXISTING GRADES AND IMPROVE SAFETY AND ACCESSIBILITY TO THE BUILDING. THE COST
OF THIS REVISION TOTALS $6.449.00.
THE REMAINING CHANGE ORDER REFLECT REQUESTS FROM THE BUILDING DEPARTMENT.
PLANNING DEPARTMENT. HRS. AND A COST SAVING REDESIGN OF SITE WORK BY THE
ARCHITECT. RESULTING IN A NET CREDIT OF $1.314.00. THE NET CHANGE IN THE CONTRACT
PRICE IS FROM $762.000.00 TO $767.135.00.
SUBSTANTIAL COMPLETION WAS ORIGINALLY FOR 1/18/97. HOWEVER DUE TO HURRICANE LILI.
DELAYS IN INSPECTIONS. RAIN. HOLIDAYS. AND THE ADDITIONAL WORK FROM INSTALLING
CULVERT PIPING. AN ADDITIONAL THIRTY-FOUR (34) DAYS IS NEEDED FOR SUBSTANTIAL
COMPLETION EXTENDING SUBSTANTIAL COMPLETION FROM JANUARY 18. 1997 TO FEBRUARY
21. 1997.
