Mr. Danny Kolhage
Clerk of the Board of County Commissioners
500 Whitehead Street

RE: Contract for Roadway Improvements, Key Colony Beach Causeway,
Project No. 401-o02.38J
Dear Mr. Kolhage:
A t the request of the Monroe County Board of County Commissioners a meeting was
conducted at 10:30 A.M. on September 14, 1984 at the Key Colony Beach City Hall.
The stated purpose of this meeting was to assure an equitable distribution of
City/County paid elements, to be more consistent and in line with the engineer's
estimate.
A copy of the minutes of that meeting are enclosed for your files.
The original of the renegotiated Bid Proposal is enclosed and it is requested that you
substitute this proposal for the one received with the bids from the Brewer Company
of Florida, Inc. As can be seen, this new Bid Proposal in no way changes the bottom
line bid amount but merely changes the dollar value of the line items to conform to a
more equitable approach.
