Box 1029 Key West, Florida 33040 He: Engineering Services Agreement for the Design and Construction Supervision of a National Weather Service Facility at Key West International Airport, Key West, Florida Dear Mr. Burke: We are pleased to submit this letter of agreement for providing engineering design services at Key West International Airport. This agreement is to provide certain services listed under "Basic Services" in Supplemental Agreement No. 1 to our basic agreement. It is understood that the scope of work is as follows: "The design, preparation of contract documents and general superVlslon of construction for the National Weather Service Facility project. The services to be performed include the following items listed under "Basic Services" in Supplemental Agreement No. 1 to our basic contract agreement:" Included Service Items: IAl-a, b, c, d, e IA2-a, b, c, d, e IA3-a, b, c, i (d, e, f, g and h by National Weather Services) Services included in Item IA2c is further detailed in Attachment I which becomes a part of this agreement. Three drawings will be provided to include: foundation and ground floor plan, pile cap details, grade beam details, radar tower foundation, second floor plans, roof plan, flat slab schedule, materials and design data, general structural notes, stair sections, beam schedule, and miscellaneous section and details. The radar tower foundation will be designed based upon tower loadings furnished by the National Weather Service. Two drawings will be provided. NFPA 70 Art 645 and NFPA 75 Chap. 5 will not be specified since equipment to be installed in the building is not classified as data processing equipment by the National Weather Service. A conduit stub out of the building will be shown for center field wind equipment cables. The National Weather Service is responsible for connecting the facility to the Center Field Wind Equipment. One drawing will be provided. No special fire protection or cooling is required either above or below the equipment floor. Three drawings will be provided to include site plan, water and sanitary plan, quantities and details. A septic tank wastewater system will be used. The Specifications for the National Weather Service Facility at Palm Beach and additional specifications provided by the National Weather Service will be edited and utilized to the extent possible.
