(305) 852-7145 As you know, on September 15, 1992, the Board of County Commissioners authorized the execution of an Amendment to an existing Interagency Agreement with the Monroe County Property Appraiser, the Florida Keys Aqueduct Authority, and the Utility Board of Key West, (City Electric System), in order to provide for an interlocal service fund to simplify collections and payments under the existing Agreement. Attached is a duplicate original of the subject Agreement executed and sealed by all parties for your files. cc: County Attorney County Administrator, w/o document Monroe County Property Appraiser Florida Keys Aqueduct Authority City Electric System Finance File rONTRACT AMENDMENT THIS CONTRACT amendment is made this 24th day of August, A.D. 1992 by and between the Monroe County Board of Commissioners, the Monroe County Property Appraiser, the Florida Keys Aqueduct Au- thority, and the Utility Board of Key West (City Electric Sys- tem), hereinafter referred to as "AGENCIES". Z WITNESSETH -' WHEREAS, AN INTERAGENCY AGREEMENT, hereinafter referre?V to as the "AGREEMENT", exists between the Monroe County Board of commis- sioners, the Monroe County Property Appraiser, the FloridaKeys Aqueduct Authority, and the Utility Board of Key West (City Elec- tric System), the AGENCIES, which is reflected in a document dated 17 November 1987, attached and incorporated by reference; and WHEREAS, ARTICLE II does not specify the establishment of a central interlocal service cost center in the Monroe County Gener- al Fund for the use of the AGENCIES, in order to simplify collec- tions and payments under the existing agreement; and WHEREAS, ALL the AGENCIES now believe that such a system would be in the public interest; NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of the mutual covenants and conditions herein contained, ALL the AGENCIES do hereby amend the AGREEMENT as follows: MJ ARTICLE II of the AGREEMENT shall be amended by adding the follow- ing language as a new paragraph 2. "The AGENCIES shall provide their equal share of the operat- ing expenses to the Monroe County Clerk. The share will be desig- nated by the ERC within the constraints of the approved annual budget of the CBMS as referred to in Article II. Monroe County will budget the central interlocal service cost center in the General Fund each fiscal year upon receipt of the approved annual budget from the ERC. The Monroe County Clerk shall administer the account by disbursing funds for those items approved by the ERC. The AGENCIES shall be billed quarterly. The bill shall be item- ized and provide documentation for the expenses incurred. The bill payment shall be remitted to Monroe County within thirty (30) days from the date of receipt."
