At the February 16, 2011, Board of County Commissioner's meeting, the Board granted approval and authorized execution of the following: Item I4 Amendment to Contract with Coffin Marine Services, Inc. to provide derelict vessel and marine debris removal services for an additional two years. ✓Item I5 Amendment to Contract with Upper Keys Construction, Inc. to provide derelict vessel and marine debris removal services for an additional two years. Item I7 Amendment to Contract with Arnold's Auto & Marine Repair, Inc. to provide derelict vessel and marine debris removal services for an additional two years. Item I8 Amendment to Contract with Coral Marine Construction, LLC to provide derelict vessel and marine debris removal services for an additional two years. Item I11 Amendment to Contract with Lower Keys Marine Towing and Salvage, Inc. to provide derelict vessel and marine debris removal services for an additional two years. AND MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA THIS AMENDMENT TO CONTRACT is made and entered into this 16th day of February, 2011 between Monroe County Board of County Commissioners (hereinafter "COUNTY" or "BOCC ") and Upper Keys Marine Construction, Inc. WITNESSETH: WHEREAS, the parties entered into a non - exclusive Contract (Contract) on April 16, 2008 for the removal and disposal of vessels and marine debris; and WHEREAS, the Contract terminates on March 18, 2011; and WHEREAS, Section 3 of the Contract allows for one additional two year term upon mutual agreement of the parties; and WHEREAS, it is deemed in the best interest for the health, safety, and welfare of the citizens of Monroe County and the general public to extend this Contract in order to remove and dispose of vessels and marine debris; NOW, THEREFORE, IN CONSIDERATION of the mutual covenants contained herein the parties agree to as follows: 1. The Contract shall be extended for the period March 19, 2011 through March 18, 2013. 2. The remaining provisions of the Contract dated April 16, 2008, not inconsistent herewith, remain in full force and effect.
