" This sign is for a different zone, one already established by the City of Key Colony Beach.
The sign will indicate to boaters who are coming into City waters from vacs Cut that they are
entering an Idle Speed No Wake zone.
We would like to place 12 signs to delineate the Slow Speed Minimum Wake Zone.
Eight of these signs will be pairs (1&2, 3&4, 9&10, 11&12), placed on opposite sides of
pilings installed in the water. Two signs (5&6) will be placed on a dock at Captain
Hooks Marina and will be angled to face boat traffic coming through the cut from either
direction. Two signs (7&8) will be placed on either side of the US Highway 1 Bridge,
pending approval from the Department of Transportation.
An aerial photo is attached which illustrates the approximate location of the markers.
The exact number and placement of the markers will be determined by site conditions.
1 he above latitude and longitude data were estimated from navigation charts. Exact
GPS locations of each marker will be supplied to you within 60 days of project
completion.
