Miscellaneous40 I ySBEy Mary Kay Reich County Commissioner 88820 Overseas Highway Tavernier, Fl. 33070 May 29, 1995 Ms. Reich, .UN I - EM I hope you can help me resolve an outstanding bill with the Fine Arts Council. Last year the Fine Arts Council wanted to attend a day trip to the Nutcracker Ballet with my travel agency, Travel Odyssey. This was not the first trip I had set up with Parvaen and the Fine Arts Council. For a day trip, Travel Odyssey usually buys forty tickets for our regular day trip clients. We were asked to buy an additional forty for the Fine Arts Council to sell to their members. The Fine Arts Council also advertised this event in their Fine Arts Magazine. Two weeks before the ballet, we heard about the problems facing the Fine Arts Council, so we proceeded to try and find different groups to take their extra tickets. Unfortunately, we couldn't find enough people in time. When the time came to pay Travel Odyssey and attend the ballet, the Fine Arts Council was impossible to get in touch with. Travel Odyssey is a small travel agency in Key Largo. We take time to help Monroe County. We help out Key Largo School and Coral Shores High by giving them their buses for school events at our cost. We also help out Monroe County Ambulance Corp. and the high school by paying in advance for their air tickets, while we wait until their travel is over to receive payment on a purchase order. Travel Odyssey enjoys helping Monroe County, but we can not overlook this bill of $1,720.00. We have made many attempts to get this paid by the Fine Arts Council but we never get a response. Please, we would appreciate anything you could do for us. Thank you, tAMAA bg(A, Barbara Scheu AMEMCWT MOP/CS Key Largo and the Florida Keys 97665 Overseas Hwy. • P.O.
