This is to acknowledge your letter of February 28, 1980 regarding
the Lease for the Helipad at Fishermen's Hospital.
Our records indicate that the Lease terminated March 6, 1979 and
that paragraph 5 of said Lease specifically states that the
improvements shall become the property of Fishermen's Hospital, f
Inc., and the virtue of that Monroe County would no longer
hold vested interest in the Helipad.

Dear Mr. White:
The Board of County Commssioners executed a one year lease
with Fisherments Hospital for ground space to construct a
Helipad. That lease was dated March 7, 1978 and therefore
expired on March 6, 1979.
The F.A.A. requires us to show clear title in order to
license the Helipad in the name of Fishermen's Hospital, Inc.
I would appreciate a letter from you confirming these facts
and that Monroe County no longer has a vested interest in the
Helipad. Thank you for your cooperation.

HELIPAD LEASE
THIS LEASE is entered into by and between FISHERMEN'S HOSPITAL,
INC., hereinafter referred to as the Lessor, and the BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS OF MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, hereinafter referred to as
the Lessee.
W I T N E S S E T H:
WHEREAS, the County of Monroe is desirous of constructing a
Helipad on property owned by the Fishermen's Hospital, Marathon, Florida,
so as to provide for the emergency transport of patients, and
WHEREAS, the hospital is desirous of having such a helipad con-
structed,
NOW THEREFORE, in consideration of the premises set forth above,
the Lessor does hereby lease to the County for a period of one (1) year,
commencing from the date of this agreement, the helipad space shown on
the attached plan which is attaches. hereto and made a part of this
Lease.
That Lessee shall have the right to construct helipad improve-
ments thereon at Lessee's expense and said helipad improvements, at the
expiration of this lease shall become the property of Lessor providing
the Lessor executes a hold harmless agreement for the use of said heli-
pad.
That the consideration for this lease shall be the helipad
improvements constructed thereon by the Lessee.

NOTICE OF INTENT
Notice is hereby given that a representative of the Department of
Transportation, Division of Public Transportation Operations on !•larch
23, 1978, inspected a proposed helistop site for use as an emergency
hospital helistop located at Iarathon, Florida, at Latitude 24°42'36"
north, Longitude 81°05'41" west, in Section 10, Township 66 south,
Range 32 east, in Monroe County, Florida, to be known as Fishermen's
Hospital Ielistop, upon application of Brian J. Bussen, P.E., Monroe
County Board of Commissioners, Post Office Box 1029, Key West,
Florida 33040.
Inspection reveals the site, as proposed by the applicant, to
be suitable for the purpose intended.
The Monroe County officials have been advised of the proposed
helistop establishment.
The Monroe County Zoning Department has certified the proposed
site does not conflict with their regulations.
Public notice is hereby given that an emergency helistop site
approval will be issued on or after May 9, 1978, unless prior to
May 9, 1978, cause is shown in writing to the Florida Department of
Transportation; Mail Station 46, 605 Suwannee Street, Tallahassee,
Florida 32304,:why such site approval should not be granted. If
opposition of this site approval is received in writing prior to May
9, 1978, public notice is hereby given pursuant to Florida Statutes
330.30 that a PUBLIC MEETING will be conducted on Friday, May 19,
1978, at 11:00 a.m., in the Marathon Sub Courthouse, U.S. 1, Overseas
Highway, Marathon, Florida 33050, to determine (a) that the site is
adequate for the proposed helistop; (b) that the proposed helistop,
if constructed or established, will conform to minimum standards of
safety; and (c) that safe air traffic patterns could be worked out
for such a proposed helistop and for all existing airports and
approved airport sites in its vicinity.
Site approval may be issued on or after May 29, 1978, as determined
by this meeting.
Dated this thirty-first day of March A.D., 1978, at Tallahassee,
