SUBJ: REQUIRED SHIP CLOSING DOCUMENTATION
In our recent SHIP program review status, it was noted that the list of required
documentation by your office still had not been completely resolved concerning a
number of SHIP FirstTime Homebuyer real estate closings.
I have directed all necessary steps to bring the present requirements current and to
implement procedures to prevent reoccurrence.
Attached please find a copy of SPO staff memorandum outlining these procedures.
If I can be of further assistance in this matter, please contact me directly.

Subject: Outstanding SHIP Closing Documentation Requirements
Per our discussion, I met with Keys Title this afternoon to resolve the outstanding
SHIP closing documentation not forwarded to the Clerk's office as required.
The following was resolved:
1) Mr. Perkins will personally follow-up and obtain the required documentation
for the Clerk's office for loans closed to date within the next 10 days.
2) This office and Keys Title independently will draft explicit closing
requirements to be followed by the closing agent for the first mortgagee. On
Monday July 25, 1994 we will merge the two letters into one document which we
will distribute to all SHIP closing agents.
3) This office will immediately list those first mortgagee closing agents who are
delinquent in supplying necessary paper work and provide a copy of the revised
requirements to same.
4) A notice to all participating institutions requesting deletion of any first
mortgagee form their recommended list in any closings involving the SHIP
Program who are delinquent with required submittals.???
5) Effective August 15, 1994 this office will cease recommending to SHIP
participants any SHIP closing agent who has been involved with a closing that has
delinquent paper work for more than 21 calendar days.
