RENOVATION OF FIRST FLOOR OF COURTHOUSE ANNEX BUILDING AT
JACKSON SQUARE, KEY WEST, FLORIDA.
Proposed Items for Change Order No. 2 - FINAL to existing master Construction
Contract between Monroe County and Hewett -Kier Construction, Inc. dated April 19,
1988.
The Changes are the result of user's request after commencement of construction,
modifications due to existing construction and additional charges due to delays beyond
control of the contractor.
Description
Amount
1.
Furnish labor, trim and mastic to install Owner furnished
paneling on the westerly wall of the Lobby Area as requested
by County Staff.
$ 808.65
2.
Furnish material and labor to install ceiling in new bathroom
for the Booking Area as required due to unforseen existing
conditions.
$ 219.75
3.
Credit for block not required due to change in wall height
for the new bathroom in the Booking Area. -
$ (78.75)
4.
Additional cost for Supervison and General Conditions incurred
due to Court/Commission work stoppage between Nov. 7, 1988 and
Nov. 21, 1988. Two full days loss of production.

5.
Credit for deletion of relocating existing double doors between
sallyport and hallway landing to the new Booking Area. -

6.
Furnish and install lefthand swing metal door and jamb
(Door No. 122) between new Booking Area and existing storage
area.

as requested by County Staff.

Additional cost for Supervisor and General Conditions incurred
due to additional 32 days required for completion of project
due to phasing of work and ingress/egress delays as required
by Sheriff's Department for the new Booking Area, unforseen
existing site conditions and for approval and delivery of
specialty items required for the project. Amount results of
negotiations as agreed by the Contractor and County Staff.

A forty-five (45) calendar day time extension is recommended for this project based on
the additional work required and time delays encountered for Items 4 and 10 listed
above. The present completion date is January 17, 1989. The additional 45 day time
extension would change the final completion date to March 3, 1989.
