08/02/2011 Special 2011/138 MINUTES OF THE MONROE COUNTY BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS Special Meeting Board of County Commissioners Tuesday, August 2, 2011 Marathon, Florida A Special Meeting of the Monroe County Board of County Commissioners convened at 10:00 A.M., at the Marathon Government Center. Present and answering to roll call were Commissioner Sylvia Murphy, Commissioner George Neugent, Commissioner David Rice and Mayor Heather Absent was Commissioner Kim Wigington. Also present at the meeting were Roman Gastesi, County Administrator; Debbie Frederick, Assistant County Administrator; Suzanne Hutton, County Attorney; Isabel C. DeSantis, Deputy Clerk; County Staff, members of the press and radio; and the general public. ADDITIONS, CORRECTIONS, DELETIONS There were no Additions, Corrections, or Deletions made to the Agenda. COUNTY ATTORNEY Item B1 Motion was made by Commissioner Murphy and seconded by Commissioner Rice ratifying the mediation agreement in the matter Benjamin Moore v. Monroe County, case # 10- 10088 -CV in the amount of $98,500. Motion carried unanimously, with Commissioner Wigington absent. ENGINEERING Item C 1 Motion was made by Commissioner Rice and seconded by Commissioner Murphy granting approval and authorizing execution of an Interlocal Agreement with the City of Key West to fund 50% of the cost to mill and pave Eaton Street from White Street to Simonton Street. The cost to the County will not exceed $176,903.23. Motion carried unanimously, with Commissioner Wigington absent. There being no further business, the meeting of the Board of County Commissioners was adjourned. Danny L.
