OF THE MONROE COUNTY
BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS

Thursday, December 15, 1994
Marathon
A Regular Meeting of the Monroe County Board of County
Commissioners convened at 10 a.m. , on the above date, at the
Marathon Government Center. Present and answering to roll call
were Commissioners Keith Douglass, Wilhelmina Harvey, Mary Kay
Reich and Mayor Pro tem London. Mayor Freeman was absent. Also
present were Danny L. Kolhage, Clerk; Randy Ludacer, County
Attorney; James Roberts, County Administrator; County Staff,
members of the Press and Radio; and the general public. Mayor
Pro tem London served as Chairman of the meeting due to the fact
that Mayor Freeman had laryngitis.
All stood for the Invocation and Pledge of Allegiance.
ADDITIONS, CORRECTIONS, DELETIONS
Motion was made by Commissioner Harvey and seconded by
Commissioner Reich granting approval of the Additions,
Corrections and Deletions to the Agenda. Motion carried
unanimously.
Peter Horton, Community Services Director, discussed a
transfer of new equipment to the area by American Eagle,
specifically the use of the ATR airplanes. No official action
was taken.
William Wagner, Jr. , Director of Emergency Management,
introduced Joseph F. Meyers, Director of the Florida Division of
Emergency Management. Mr. Meyers and his Staff proceeded to make
a presentation concerning Emergency Management, House Bill 911,
and other related matters. No official action was taken.
There being no further business to come before the Board, the
meeting was adjourned.
