Subject: Disposal of Fire Trucks
Pam, I reviewed item N -4 from the July 20, 2011 agenda dealing with the disposal of the two 1989 young
fire trucks. Under F.S. 274.06, the BOCC can dispose of property having a value of $5,000 or less in the
most efficient and cost effective means possible. IN approving the agenda item to dispose of the fire
trucks the determination of the most efficient and cost effective way to dispose of these two fire trucks
was delegated to the responsible department. I see no issue with the way these vehicles were disposed
of.
