ITEM BACKGROUND: The purpose of a study is to evaluate and determine if the County's job
classifications and pay structure is appropriate or in need of adjustment so that the County is able to
competitively recruit and retain the workforce.
PREVIOUS RELEVANT BOCC ACTION: The last time the County conducted a study was in
1997 with the firm of Coopers & Lybrand.
