11/21/1989 Contract • ' • CONTRACT
THIS CONTRACT made and entered into this _21 day of November ,19 89 , by and between
Emergency Vehicle Consultants of Key Largo, Monroe County, Florida, hereafter referred to as E.V.C., and
the Board of Governors of the Lower and Middle Keys Fire and Ambulance Taxing District of Monroe County,
Florida, hereafter referred to as the District.
WITNESSED that, in consideration of the agreements herein the District agrees as follows:
To pay Emergency Vehicle Consultants the amount of Two Thousand Seven Hundred and Fifty
Dollars ($2,750.00). Payment to be made in the following manner:
A check for Eight Hundred and Twenty -Five Dollars ($825.00) upon submittal of the first draft
of the basic specifications.
A check for Eight Hundred and Twenty -Five Dollars ($825.00) upon submittal of the first draft
of the option lists for Layton, Stock Island and Big Coppitt Departments.
A check for Eight Hundred and Twenty -Five Dollars ($825.00) upon acceptance of the basic
specifications and option lists for Layton, Stock Island and Big Coppitt Departments by the Fire Marshall.
A final check for Two Hundred and Seventy -Five Dollars ($275.00) upon delivery of 6 copies of
the complete, finished specification. Final payment shall be made within 30 days of invoice.
In addition to the fees mentioned above, additional expenses including photo- copies, telephone facsimiles,
long distance phone calls, and or any other out of pocket expenses that may be required by client, will be billed
to the District separately and included on the final invoice.
IN CONSIDERATION THEREOF, E.V.C. does agree to do the following:
To conduct interviews with the office of the Fire Marshall and his staff to formulate one basic
fire apparatus specification for the purchase of three pumpers.
To conduct interviews with representatives of Layton, Stock Island and Big Coppitt Fire
Departments to formulate additional option specifications for each department's pumper.
To research and produce fire apparatus specifications based on the interviews conducted.
To submit seven copies of rough draft and rewrites of all specifications to Fire Marshall's office.
To produce a final fire apparatus specification approved by the Fire Marshall.
To produce seven copies of finished specification for the Fire Marshall's office. Copies for bids
will be available at a charge of $2.00 per copy.
FURTHERMORE, the following conditions are noted and agreed to by both Parties:
Specifications are to be completed by December 31, 1989, allowing for scheduling interviews and necessary
meetings with representatives of the three departments and barring natural disasters and acts of God.
IN WITNESS THEREOF, the above named Parties have signed this agreement and hereby agree to do the full
promise of this contract.
