02/24/1976 A G R E E M E N T WHEREAS, the BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, and the MONROE COUNTY COUNCIL ON THE AGING, INC., a Florida non - profit corporation, desires to enter into an agreement wherein the BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, con- tracts for services from the said corporation for the operation of a homemaker information and referral service program for the aged, and WHEREAS, the BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, is vested and charged with certain duties and responsibil- ities relating to the welfare of the citizens of Monroe County, Florida, and WHEREAS, such services have been invaluable to the citizens of Monroe County, Florida, and WHEREAS, it is proper and fitting to enter into an agreement for services to be rendered in the forthcoming year, 1975 -76, now, therefore, THIS AGREEMENT made between the BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, and the MONROE COUNTY COUNCIL ON THE AGING, INC., a Florida non - profit corporation, each in the consideration of the premises, agrees as follows: The said BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, in consideration of said MONROE COUNTY COUNCIL ON THE AGING, INC., a Florida non - profit corporation, substantially and satisfac- torily performing and carrying out part of the duties and obligations of the Board as to furnishing a homemaker information and referral services program for the aged citizens of Monroe County, Florida, who qualify for same, agrees to pay to the said MONROE COUNTY COUNCIL ON THE AGING, INC., the sum of ONE THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($1,500.00) for the fiscal 1975 -76. This figure will be paid monthly commencing October 1, 1975, and terminating September 30, 1976, as hereinafter set forth. -2- And the said MONROE COUNTY COUNCIL ON THE AGING, INC., for the consideration named, covenants and agrees with the BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, to substantially satisfy and perform and carry out its duties in furnishing homemaker information and referral services to the aged in Monroe County, Florida. In further consideration of said financial remuneration, the said MONROE COUNTY COUNCIL ON THE AGING, INC., agrees to provide a clear financial audit trail to allow for full accountability of funds received from said Board. Certified monthly financial and service load reports will be made available to the BOARD OF COUNTY COMMIS- SIONERS OF MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, to validate the delivery of ser- vices under this contract. The monthly financial report is due in the office of the Clerk of the Board of County Commissioners of Monroe County, Florida, no later than the 15th day of the following month. After the Clerk of the Board pre- audits the certified report, the Board will reimburse said MONROE COUNTY COUNCIL ON THE AGING, INC., for its monthly expenses. However, the total of said monthly payments in the aggregate sum shall not exceed the total amount of $1,500.00 during the term of this contract. IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, has caused these presents to be signed in its name by its Chairman, Board of County Commissioners and the Clerk of the Board of County Commissioners, and the MONROE COUNTY COUNCIL ON THE AGING, INC., has caused these presents to be signed in its name by its President and Secretary, all as of the Z- day of February, A.D. 1976.
