Detailed description of Change Order and justification:
As a result of permitting delays from multiple agencies, notice to proceed was not able to be given
until 08/1412012; therefore, a time extension of 188 days from date of notice to proceed was
required to complete the project.

RE: Change Orders
Attached is a proposed change order for Keys Contracting Services, Inc., for the On -site
Sewer Connections at Harry Harris Park, Tavernier Fire Station and old Tavernier
School. Change Order #1 is for a no -cost time extension of 189 days due to permitting
delays from multiple agencies.
According to Ordinance 026 -1998 adopted by the Board of County Commissioners,
proposed change orders are to be presented to members of the Board of County
Commissioners prior to approval, assuming they are within the Administrator's
prescribed limits. Change orders not within the Administrator's authority are placed on
the BOCC agenda.
The Administrator /Deputy Administrator intends to approve this change order on
Tuesday, April 9, 2013.
