AGENDA ITEM WORDING: Approval to obtain appraisals of Tracts 1 and 2, Highland Shores
Subdivision and adjoining Parcels A and B (formerly Rowell's Marina) to determine the feasibility and
value of the property.
ITEM BACKGROUND: The county has obtained four quotes with prices for appraisals. The quotes
were: $3,200 from Steven D. Shaw of Callaway & Price, Inc., $3,500 from James E. Wilson Appraisal
Company of Key West, $3,950 from Trent Marr of Marr & Associates and $4,700 from Andrew H.
Magenheimer of Slack Johnston & Magenheimer.
PREVIOUS RELEVANT BOCC ACTION: At the March 20, 2013 BOCC meeting direction was
given to the County Administrator to investigate the different projects benefitting the Upper, Middle
and Lower Keys. Rowell's Marina was one such project benefitting the Upper Keys.
