PROFESSIONAL ARCHITECTURAL AND ENGINEERING SERVICES
BETWEEN MONROE COUNTY AND PIKE ARCHITECTS,INC.
FOR
REPLACEMENT OF THE MONROE COUNTY TRANSFER STATION OFFICES
In accordance with the Continuing Contract for Professional Architectural and Engineering Services,
made and entered on the 21't day of January, 2015 between MONROE COUNTY, hereinafter referred to
as the "County" and PIKE ARCHITECTS, INC., hereinafter referred to as"Consultant" where professional
services are allowed if construction costs do not exceed $2,000,000.00.
All terms and conditions of the referenced Professional Architectural and Engineering Services
Agreement apply to this Task Order, unless the Task Order modifies an article of the Agreement of
which will be specifically referenced in this Task Order and the modification shall be precisely described.
These additions apply only to the project referenced in this Task Order.
This Task Order is effective on the 16th day of September,ED15,
Project Description: Design through Construction Administration services to replace the existing
buildings at the transfer stations located at Card Sound Road, Long Key, and Cudjoe Key. Consultant to
prepare construction documents for permitting, installation of temporary trailers, demolition of the
exiting modular office units and scales, and construction of the new modular office units at each transfer
station.
1. In accordance to Article II SCOPE OF BASIC SERVICES of the Professional Architectural and
Engineering Services Agreement dated January 21, 2015, the Consultant shall provide the
services as described below:
A: Demolition Plan: Consultant shall create demolition plans for Contractor's use.
B: Schematic Design: Consultant shall provide initial design drawings consisting of a site plan,
floor plans, and exterior elevations. Drawings will be presented to the County at 60% and 90%
completion stages.
C: Design Development: Consultant shall provide revised design drawings based on County's
- - approval of the Schematic Design.
D: Construction & Permit Documents: Upon approval of the design drawings by the County,
Consultant will provide 5 signed and sealed sets, and one electronic copy, for permitting and
construction purposes. Drawings will include, but are not limited to site plans, floor plans,
interior elevations, exterior elevations, building wall sections and details, mechanical, electrical,
and plumbing plans,and diagrams,schedules and specifications for all of the above.

E: Bidding: Consultant will attend the on-site pre-bid conference, assist the County with
addenda, and make recommendations of qualified companies.
F: Construction Administration: Consultant shall visit the site one time each site and attend bi-
weekly progress meetings via teleconference. Consultant to respond to Requests for
Information(RFI's)in writing,and submittal review by telephone.
2. In accordance to Article III ADDITIONAL SERVICES of the Professional Architectural and
Engineering Services Agreement dated January 21, 2015, the Consultant shall provide services
that are not included in the Scope of Basic Services as follows:
A: Civil Engineering for each of the three sites to include:
• Two Site Visits
• Stormwater Drawings
• Swale Capacity Discharge
• Sewer Site Hookups
• Site Electrical Service
• Site lighting
3. County Responsibilities: County shall provide to the Consultant geotechnical reports, asbestos
surveys, and boundary surveys for each of the three sites.
4. In accordance to Article VII COMPENSATION paragraph 7.1.1 of the Professional Architectural
and Engineering Services Agreement dated January 21, 2015, the Consultant shall be
compensated as follows:
Consultant's fee for Basic Services shall be a lump sum fee of Seventy-Eight Thousand
Nine Hundred Dollars and 00/100($78,900.00)paid monthly on a percentage complete
basis with the following breakdown:
• Schematic Design 15% $11,745.00
• Design Development 35% 27,405.00
• Construction Documents 35% 27,405.00
• Bidding 600.00
• Construction Administration 15% 11,745.00
Total 578.900.00
Consultant's fee for Additional Services for Civil Engineering services shall be paid
monthly,per site, as follows:
• Site Visits 2 each site. $1,600.00 $4,800.00
• Stormwater Drawings 2,800.00 8,400.00
• Swale Capacity Discharge 400.00 1,200.00
• Sewer Site Hookups 800.00 2,400.00
• Site Electrical Service 1,100.00 3,300.00

5. Reimbursable Expenses:
Article 7.3.1 of the Professional Architectural and Engineering Services Agreement dated January
21,2015 shall be revised as follows:
• Reimbursable Expense—The cost of 3D renderings are not included in basic
services or additional services and cost of such shall be reimbursed to the
Consultant when and if requested by the County. County shall reimburse the
Consultant at their cost+15%.
• Signed and sealed set of drawings beyond the 5 requested in paragraph 1 D.
All other terms and conditions of the Task Order shall be in accordance with the Architectural and
Engineering Services Agreement dated January 21,2015.
