WITNESSETH WHEREAS, Florida Statutes, Section 775.083(2) provides for the collection of court costs in the amount of$50 for a felony and $20 for other specified offenses, and WHEREAS, such funds must be deposited by the Clerk of the Court into an appropriate county account and must be disbursed, in consultation with the sheriff, for crime prevention programs in the county, and WHEREAS, SHERIFF and COUNTY wish to expend said funds to purchase specific items to be used for crime prevention programs in the county, WHEREAS, on May 20, 2015, the COUNTY approved a Memorandum of Understanding between the parties, approving the use of court costs in the amount of $257,143.00 for the purchase of equipment outlined on Attachment A to the Memorandum of Understanding; and WHEREAS, the parties now wish to revise the list of items Attachment A; and WHEREAS, as a result of the change to Attachment A, the total amount to be expended is reduced to $238,071.20. NOW THEREFORE, in consideration of the mutual understandings and agreements set forth herein, the COUNTY and the SHERIFF agree as follows: 1. Attachment A to this Amendment replaces Attachment A to the Memorandum of Understanding in its entirety. The revision to Attachment A is made retroactive to the effective date of the original Memorandum of Understanding. 2. In all other respects, the terms and conditions set forth in the Memorandum of Understanding dated May 20, 2015 are unchanged and remain in full force and effect.
