AGENDA ITEM WORDING:
Approval to request for expenditure from the Law Enforcement
Trust Fund in the amount of $7,000 for Florida Sheriff's Youth Ranches; additionally, approval of
revision to agenda item K-1, from the March 23, 2016 agenda, to correct scrivener's error in
reference to year of expenditure for Coral Shores High School graduation night.
ITEM BACKGROUND:
On March 23, 2016, the Board of County Commissioners approved item
K-1, Request for Expenditure from the Law Enforcement Trust Fund, in the amount of $1,000.00 of
which $500.00 was for Coral Shores High School Operation Graduation. Unfortunately, due to
scriveners error, item K-1 referred to Graduation 2015, rather than 2016. This agenda item corrects
that error. In addition, this agenda item asks for approval of a new request for expenditure in the
amount of $7,000.00 for the Florida Sheriffs Youth Ranches, to support "Harmony in the Street"
mobile community day camp for underprivileged youth.
