AGENDA ITEM WORDING:
Approval of Second Amended Professional Services Contract with
Adele V. Stones, P.A. for legal services.
ITEM BACKGROUND:
Ms. Stones existing contract with the Land Authority expires on October
16, 2016. The proposed contract amendment extends the term for three years to October 16, 2019;
increases the hourly rate for general legal services from $225 to $300 per hour; increases the annual
billing limit for general legal services from $35,000 to $75,000; increases the real estate closing fee
5 to $475
per closing; and updates the public records provisions to correspond to current statutes. These
changes are the first financial adjustments in three years.
PREVIOUS RELEVANT BOCC ACTION:
The Board approved Ms. Stones original contract on
September 17, 2013 and the first amendment on January 16, 2014.
