ITEM BACKGROUND:
On January 16, 1997, Monroe County entered into a retainer agreement
with the law firm of Nabors, Giblin & Nickerson, P.A., to provide legal services in the areas of bond
counsel, and also on additional issues including Florida finance and tax issues and other issues and
matters of government law. Since then, the County has entered into three additional retainer
agreements with the law firm (on issues of utilities, workforce housing, and bond validations), but
wishes to update this agreement in order to update the billing rates for principals and associates.
(The proposed amendment will be supplied after acceptance by the law firm.)
