A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS OF MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA,
IMPOSING THE ANNUAL SOLID WASTE ASSESSMENT
ON AN IMPROVED PARCEL THAT WAS
ERRONEOUSLY OMMITTED FROM THE SOLID WASTE
ASSESSMENT ROLL
WHEREAS, Pursuant to Sec. 21 -108, Monroe County Code (Code), when a property was
omitted from the solid waste assessment roll and solid waste collection services were provided to such lot
or parcel, the Board may by resolution impose the applicable annual solid waste assessment for the fiscal
year in which such error is discovered and for the prior two fiscal years; and
WHEREAS, parcel AK 1405191 - 1365 Marlin Drive, Marathon, FL has received solid waste
collection services, but was erroneously omitted from the solid waste assessment beginning in 2009; and
WHEREAS, the error was discovered in County Fiscal Year (FY) 2015/2016; and
WHEREAS, the parcel will be added, upon approval of this resolution, to the tax roll for County
FY 2016/2017; and
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS OF MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, as follows:
1. The Board hereby request for the Monroe County Tax Collector to add parcel AK 1405191 -
1365 Marlin Drive, Marathon to the solid waste assessment roll for Fiscal Year 2016/2017.
2. The Board hereby imposes in accordance with Monroe County Code Section 21 -108, the solid
waste assessment for FY 2015/2016 ($404.00), FY 2014/2015 ($404) and FY 2013/2014
($404.00) on AK 1405191 - 1365 Marlin Drive, Marathon. o `�
3. The Clerk shall transmit this Resolution to the Monroe County Tax Collector andl_donroe (. nt
