The scope included daily site inspections and construction administration for the organic removal and weed barrier installation. The scope was based upon an estimated 44 days of construction, of which 30 days was estimated for the organic removal work. The final design work included detailed surveys to quantify the volume of organic material required to be removed. The 100% construction plans estimated that 8,200 cubic yards would require removal. A construction schedule has just been provided by the selected Contractor JND Thomas, Inc. The estimated number of total construction days for the organic removal is 122 calendar days from Notice to Proceed which equates to 87 construction days on the Monday to Friday currently required work schedule. AMEC will provide the following services for an additional 57 construction days (87- 30 days). a) Site Inspections: AMEC will oversight the contractor for up to 4 hours a day for Monday through Friday field construction activities and prepare daily work reports showing contractors activities, equipment, maintenance of traffic and environmental compliance. b) Construction Administration - AMEC will provide consultation and advice to County regarding the Contractor's performance of the Contract.
