LARGO, MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA
In accordance with the Continuing Contract for On Call Professional Engineering
Services made and entered on the 18th day of January, 2017 between Monroe County,
hereinafter referred to as the "County" and Amec Foster Wheeler Environment &
Infrastructure, Inc. hereinafter referred to as "Consultant" where design services are
allowed if construction costs do not exceed $2,000,000.
All terms and conditions of the referenced Contract for On Call Professional Engineering
Services apply to the Task Order, unless the Task Order modifies an Article of the
Agreement of which will be specifically referenced in this Task Order and the
modification shall be precisely described.
This Task Order is effective on the 18th day of January. 2017 and shall expire 60 days
after the final deliverable to the County is submitted.
Article II Scope of Basic Services, Paragraph 2.1.1 is amended as follows:
The Consultant shall assist the County with the public outreach to inform and engage the
homeowners on the Canals #266, #287, #290 in Big Pine Key and #83 in Key Largo
regarding the Air Curtain Canal Restoration Demonstration Projects MSBU costs and
how the program will operate.
The scope of services will consist of two community meetings with homeowners of each
canal (eight meetings in total) to discuss the MSBU program and inform the
homeowners about the costs. The duration of each meeting is expected to be
approximately one hour including presentation and questions and answers.
Details of the scope of services are outlined below and included in the Consultant's
proposal that is attached to this task order as Exhibit A.

Task 1: Community Outreach Meetings
The Consultant will coordinate and provide presentations for two public community
meetings with each canal homeowners for a total of eight meetings. The Consultant will
prepare an agenda that discusses the O &M scope of work and associated MSBU
program and cost. The Consultant will prepare and submit meeting minutes to the
County for review and distribution to the homeowners. The meetings will be held at
locations within the communities.
Article VII, Paragraph 7.1.1 is amended to include the following:
The Consultant shall be paid monthly for time and expenses based on hourly rates and

Dear Ms. Haag:
Amec Foster Wheeler is pleased to provide you a proposal to assist the County with public outreach
to inform and engage the homeowners on the Canals #266, #287, #290 in Big Pine Key and #83 in
Key Largo regarding the Air Curtain Canal Restoration Demonstration Projects MSBU costs and how
the program will operate.
The proposed project will consist of two community meetings with homeowners of each canal (eight
meetings in total) to discuss the MSBU program and inform the homeowners about the costs. The
duration of each meeting is expected to be approximately one hour including presentation and
questions and answers.
Details of the proposed scope of services are provided below. A cost estimate to perform these
services under Amec Foster Wheeler's existing contract rate schedule is also included.
SCOPE OF SERVICES
Task 1: Community Outreach Meetinas
Amec Foster Wheeler will coordinate and provide presentations for two public community meetings
with each canal homeowners for a total of eight meetings. Amec Foster Wheeler will prepare an
agenda that discusses the O &M scope of work and associated MSBU program and cost. Amec

COST ESTIMATE
Amec Foster Wheeler has prepared a cost spreadsheet which provides details of the labor and
expense by task. The total project cost estimate will be performed on a Time and Materials (T &M)
basis not to exceed $14,556, unless approved by Monroe County.

11. Expenses

B. Disposal of Hazardous Waste Samples
Samples of waste will be disposed by permitted methods after a determination is made that the waste is
defined by RCRA to be hazardous. Due to the requirements for some hazardous assessments, disposal
and invoicing of incurred expenses may take place after invoicing of the originally contracted work.
