AGENDA ITEM WORDING: Approval to extend Lease and Concession agreement with Avis Rent
A Car System, Inc. on a month-to-month basis, under existing terms and conditions, pending execution
of a new agreement
ITEM BACKGROUND: The County entered into a Lease and Concession with Avis Rent A Car
System, Inc. on March 1, 1995, which has been extended through February 28,2010. We are
requesting to extend the original agreement, as amended, under the existing terms and conditions,
pending execution of a new agreement.
PREVIOUS RELEVANT BOCC ACTION: BOCC approved original agreement effective March 1,
1995; BOCC approved extension agreement dated April 19, 2000; BOCC approved extension
agreement on June 15,2005.
CONTRACT/AGREEMENT CHANGES: The term of the agreement will be extended on a month
to month basis under existing terms and conditions.
