A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS OF MONROE COUNTY REQUESTING
THAT STATE SENATOR LARCENIA BULLARD SUPPORT
FUNDING FOR W ASTEW ATER AND STORMW A TER
INFRASTRUCTURE IN THE FLORIDA KEYS
WHEREAS, State Representative Ken Sorensen has successfully filed a $3 million floor
amendment to the state budget for wastewater and storm water infrastructure in the Florida Keys; and
WHEREAS, every dollar that is available for such infrastructure helps to improve the adjacent
marine environment; and
WHEREAS, the improvement to the adjacent marine environment is not only important in its own
right but also helps the tourist, diving and fishing industries upon which Monroe County's economy depends;
now, therefore
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF MONROE
COUNTY, FLORIDA:
Section 1: State Senator Larcenia Bullard is hereby requested to support State Representative
Ken Sorensen's $3 million floor amendment to state budget for wastewater and storm water infrastructure in
the Florida Keys.
Section 2:

The Clerk is directed to send a certified copy of this Resolution to State Senator
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of County Commissioners of Monroe County, Florida, at a
meeting of said Board held on the 16th day of April, A.D., 2003.
