RESOLUTION NO.- -2017
A RESOLUTION OF THE MONROE COUNTY BOARD OF
COUNTY COMMISSIONERS CORRECTING A SCRIVENER'S
ERROR IN THE RENOUNCING AND DISCLAIMING A
PORTION OF THE RIGHT -OF -WAY OF HIBISCUS STREET,
LAYING BETWEEN LOTS 19 AND 22, BLOCK 36, "OCEAN
ACRES SUBDIVISION ", KEY LARGO, AS RECORDED IN
PLAT BOOK 1, PAGE 188, OF THE PUBLIC RECORDS OF
MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA.
WHEREAS, an application was filed by Monroe County (Public Works), to abandon a
portion of the right -of -way of Hibiscus Street, laying between Lots 19 and 22, Block 36,
"OCEAN ACRES SUBDIVISION ", as recorded in Plat Book 1, Page 188, on Key Largo,
Monroe County, Florida; and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Monroe County, Florida, approved
Resolution 82 -2017 setting the date, time and place for the public hearing concerning the
proposed right -of -way abandonment for April 12, 2017; and
WHEREAS, at said public hearing, the Board of County Commissioners approved
Resolution 117 -2017 for the right -of -way abandonment; and
WHEREAS, the survey and resolution contained an incorrect legal description of the
right -of -way abandonment; and
WHEREAS, a resolution correcting the scrivener's error within the legal description is
necessary; and
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS OF MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, THAT IT HEREBY
1. Renounces and disclaims any right of the County and public in and to the
following described right of way, streets, alley -ways, roads, or highways as delineated on the
hereinafter described map or plat, to -wit:
DESCRIPTION.• (North '.� of Hibiscus Street)
A portion of ' Hibiscis Street, laying between Lots 19 and 22, Block 36, "OCE1N ACRES
SUBDIVISION ", as recorded in Plat Book 1, Page 188, of the Public Records of'tilonroe County,
Florida and being snore particularly described as follows: Begin tit the Southivest corner of said
Lot 19, Block 36, "OCEAN ACRES SUBDIVISION thence N 88 °0945" E along the said South
Line of Lot 19 for a distance of 215.00 feet to the Southeast corner of said Lot 19; thence S

00 °11'15 "E for a distance of 15.00 feet; thence S88 TV along a line being 15 feet .South o_f
and parallel with the said .South Line of Lot 19, for a distance of 215.00 feet; thence N 00 °11'15"
Trfor a distance of 15.00 feet to the said Southwest corner of Lot 1 9 and the Point of Beginning.
Containing 3,225.0 square feet, tore or less.

Florida and being more partictdarly described as follows: Commence at the .Southwest corner• of
said Lot 19, Block 36, "OCEAN ACRES SUBDIVISION ", thence S 00011'15" E for a distance of
15. 00 feet to the Point of Beginning; thence N 88°09'45" E along a line tieing I5 feet South of and
parallel with the said South line of Lot 19, fora distance of'215.00 feet; thence S 00 °11'15 "�E for
a distance of 15.00, to the Northeast corner of said Lot 22; thence S 88 "09'45" W along the
North line of said Lot 22 ,for a distance of 215.00 to the Northwest corner of said .Lot 22;
thence N 00 °11'15" W for a distance of ]5.00 to the Point gfBeginning.
Containing 3,225.0 square feet, more or less.

at a regular meeting of the Board held on the 21" day of June, 2017.
