ITEM BACKGROUND: The Parks and Recreation Board discussed the park regulations and heard public input at its April 17, 2017, meeting due to the upcoming opening of the renovated park. After hearing discussion, the Board voted to recommend that the BOCC change the current ordinances to provide for specific regulations for the children's area, revise the hours of operation and restroom hours, and to maintain all other current park regulations. The BOCC considered the recommendations at its May 17, 2017, meeting and directed staff to draft a proposed ordinance. PREVIOUS RELEVANT BOCC ACTION: The BOCC considered proposed ordinance changes and directed staff on May 17, 2017, to draft a proposed ordinance reflecting the changes. CONTRACT /AGREEMENT CHANGES: Change in the current Ordinances as proposed. STAFF RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends approval to advertise public hearing on proposed changes to Chapter 18, Article 11, and Sec. 18- 27(c)(1).
