ITEM BACKGROUND: On October 19, 2016, Monroe County and Lori Lehr ( "Lehr ") entered into a Contract for National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP), Floodplain Regulations, and Community Rating System (CRS) Professional Support Services. The Contract requires Lehr to accomplish numerous activities related to the Monroe County CRS, Floodplain Regulations, and NFIP. The Contract did not contemplate post- hurricane damage assessment work for Lehr to perform for the County. During September 2017, Monroe County suffered significant damages as a result of Hurricane Irma. Lehr is able and qualified to provide the County with professional services to assist and lead the County in post Hurricane Irma damage assessment work. Pursuant to this Amendment, Lehr's services include, but are not limited to, making damage assessments within unincorporated Monroe County and completing all emergency declarations and damage assessments reports, documents and any associated papers related to or required by any and all Federal, State, and local government agency programs and insurance companies. The underlying Contract between Lehr and the County, and subsequent amendments are attached as back up, in addition to the Amendment placed for approval. PREVIOUS RELEVANT BOCC ACTION: 10/19/16 — BOCC approved the initial Contract with Lehr. Pursuant to Section 1 of the Agreement this Section is amended to include the following: CONSULTANT will assist Monroe County and provide expert services consistent with the Agreement on post Hurricane Irma damage assessment within unincorporated Monroe County CONSULTANT's services include, but are not limited to, completing all emergency declarations and damage assessments reports, documents and any associated papers related to or required by any and all Federal, State, and local government agency programs and insurance companies. 2. COMPENSATION. Pursuant to Section 4 of the Agreement this Section is amended to include the following: Compensation to the CONSULTANT for satisfactory performance of the professional services and carrying out the objectives of the COUNTY stated in this Amendment will be paid on an hourly basis of One Hundred Fifty Dollars ($150.00) per hour based on invoices submitted by the CONSULTANT. The remainder of the terms and conditions of the Agreement, as amended, remain unchanged by this Amendment, and continue in full force and effect.
