S. 1 within Monroe County no later than January 16, 2018. ITEM BACKGROUND: Hurricane Irma impacted the Florida Keys as a category 4 hurricane on September 10, 2017, leaving debris in its wake. The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) has agreed to undertake one additional final removal of debris on U.S. 1 /State Road 5. This final pass will be completed no later than January 16, 2018. The resolution expresses the County's consent to and authorization for FDOT to conduct this additional work. The resolution also provides that any further dumping of debris on U.S. 1 /S.R. 5 after January 16, 2018, will be enforces as illegal activity as provided for under state law and local ordinance.
