ITEM BACKGROUND: This project will replace the existing emergency alert system and
streamline emergency communications between airport operations, airport security and airport fire
fighters. It will also help to improve communications with mutual aid emergency responders and
eliminate the need for an AT & T leased phone line, thus reducing yearly operating costs by $7680.
