CURRENT STATUS REPORT FOR CUDJOE REGIONAL WASTEWATER PROGRAM
(As of November 7, 2016)
• Inner Islands' Collection
System
• Outer Islands' Collection
System
Work continues on the pump stations for Venture Out on
Cudjoe Key. Grinder station installations on Summerland Key
and other punch list items left to complete in other areas.
Action: System connections being installed and inspected on
Cudjoe Key, Summerland and Upper Sugarloaf Key.
Collection system work on Big Pine Key continues.
Action: Collection system work continues on Big Pine Key.
Phase I area has been cleared for connections to the central
system.
• Added Collection Areas Grinder station installation work on Big /Middle Torch Keys to
begin the first of 2017. No Name Key collection system design
nearly complete for bidding project.
Action: FKAA construction crew installing force mains on
Torch Keys. Keys Honey to begin construction before year's
end.
• Advanced Wastewater
Treatment Facility
• Public Information
• On -Site Systems
Facility in operation with excellent treatment. There are about
2,550 connections to the system. Deep well work continues.
Shallow wells are currently in service.
Action: Complete deep well and new pumping system. Notice
sent to Contractor about schedule issues.
FKAA workshops to continue in Big Pine in November; upon
further progress by contractors.
Action: Continue Big Pine workshops, website updates and
conduct field meetings with residents.
Permits for several properties issued by FDOH in September
for on -site systems on Torches. Can now bid construction work
for these systems. Grant modification received to extend
project timeline and add /subtract certain systems.
Action: Bid the latest permitted systems in November.
Continue individual system program and demonstration
project.
