AGENDA ITEM WORDING:
Approval of a resolution to authorize staff to defer the processing
of right-of-way permit applications relating to the placement and maintenance of communications
facilities in the County's rights-of-way until an ordinance can be adopted by the Board and to
provide notice of its intent to adopt such an ordinance.
ITEM BACKGROUND:
Florida statutes authorize the County to impose regulations concerning
placement of communications facilities on county rights-of-way. Due to increased inquiries into use
of the right-of-way staff proposes to amend the county code to address communications facilities.
