Approval of Monroe County Board of Commissioners to waive
paragraph 2.02B of the personnel Policy and Procedures Manual for two individuals to fill one
budgeted position simultaneously from thirty (30) calendar days to ninety (90) calendar days.
ITEM BACKGROUND:
Mr. Stone will retire on 10 June 2016. We are presently advertising his
position and due to the complexity and amount of institutional knowledge, we would like to
maximize the overlap time. Accordingly, staff requests approval for the waiver for up to a 51 day
overlap.
PREVIOUS RELEVANT BOCC ACTION:
On March 18, 2015 the MCBOCC approved the current Personnel and Policy Procedures Manual.
