ITEM BACKGROUND:
A request for No Fishing Signs was made to staff at a recent Sugarloaf Property
Owners Association meeting based on residents observing traffic/safety issues when people were fishing
from the bridge.
PREVIOUS RELEVANT BOCC ACTION:
Monroe County BOCC approved Ordinance 034-1997 on September 17, 1997 which prohibits
fishing from the Tom's Harbor Channel Bridge on Duck Key for traffic and human safety.
