AGENDA ITEM WORDING:
Approval to reappoint three members of the Duck Key Security
District Advisory Board. The members are: Mary Balazs, Philip Kircher, and Sherry Popham. The
Security District Board has recommended them for reappointment at their May 3, 2016 meeting.
ITEM BACKGROUND:
All three appointments are three-year terms to expire June 1, 2019. The
Duck Key Security District Advisory Board, established by Ord. #005-1992, makes
recommendations to the Board of County Commissioners regarding expenditures and issues
pertinent to the Duck Key Security District MSTU, providing contracted security patrol and related
security services to the residential areas of Duck Key.
PREVIOUS RELEVANT BOCC ACTION:
Philip Kircher and Sherry Popham were appointed on June 19, 2013 to three year terms. Mary
Balazs was appointed May 20, 2015 to fulfill a term through June 2016.
