ITEM BACKGROUND: This Task Order is to provide data collection, design, bidding and special services for the expansion project of the existing restroom in the departures hold area of the concourse in the EYW terminal building. This project is to replace and expand existing restrooms that have reached the end of their useful life. By renovating these restrooms, the airport will have to expand the area in order to meet Florida Building Code 2014 requirements. In addition, there is a need to accommodate service animals in order to be in compliance for individuals with disabilities. As a result, this project will preserve capacity in the terminal to accommodate passengers at the Key West International Airport (EYW), as described in Exhibit A- Scope of Work. Based on information provided by Jacobs, proposed construction will consist of renovation and expansion of the Departure Hall Restroom, and adding a Pet Relief area at the Key West International Airport. PROPOSED SCOPE OF WORK We propose to perform a one (1) Standard Penetration Test (SPT) boring to a depth of 40 feet outside the existing building accessible to a truck mounted drill rig. The boring location will be located in the field by Jacobs. Upon completion of the field exploration, laboratory testing will be performed on selected samples. A report will be issued that contains the exploration and laboratory data.
