ITEM BACKGROUND: This task order #4A to the Category A on -call services contract provides for a 9 -month time extension, retroactive from December 31, 2017 and extending to September 30, 2018. It also allows for IRMA related services that are anticipated to be reimbursable by FEMA, and provides $15,000 in new funding, for a total task order not to exceed $64,775. The $15,000 in new funds is being reallocated from Task Order #3 of the Category B on -call contract, which provided for the permitting and procurement of the augmented aeration projects. That Task Order is being terminated because the FKNMS Canal Advisory Subcommittee voted not to proceed with the augmented aeration projects. Task 4 includes general project management services for the Canal Restoration Program including, but not limited to, attending Canal Subcommittee and FKNMS WQPP meetings and other meetings as requested by the County, client communications, preparation of project presentations and updates, grant assistance, monthly reporting and invoices, responding to County and homeowner inquiries, and other miscellaneous project management activities. CEI activities or project design activities are not included. In accordance with the Continuing Contract for On Call Professional Engineering Services made and entered on the 14th day of December, 2016 and Amendment No.1 dated December 13'", 2017 between Monroe County, hereinafter referred to as the "County" and Amec Foster Wheeler Environment & Infrastructure, Inc. hereinafter referred to as "Consultant" where design services are allowed if construction costs do not exceed $2,000,000. All terms and conditions of the referenced Contract for On Call Professional Engineering Services apply to the Task Order, unless the Task Order modifies an Article of the Agreement of which will be specifically referenced in this Task Order and the modification shall be precisely described. WHEREAS, additional services are being included to assist with canal debris clean -up from Hurricane Irma; and WHEREAS, the County will request reimbursement by FEMA for the Hurricane Irma related services; and WHEREAS, the task order will be extended for 9 months from December 31, 2017 to September 30, 2018.
