Attorney-Client Closed Session in the case of Delaney et al. v.
FKAA and Monroe County, 16th Judicial Circuit Case No. CA-K-16-439.
ITEM BACKGROUND:
On May 9, 2016, the lawsuit was filed in the 16th Judicial Circuit. The
lawsuit has not yet been served, as of 5/19/2016. Per Section 286.011(8), F.S., the subject matter of
the meeting shall be confined to settlement negotiations or strategy sessions related to litigation
expenditures. Present at the meetings shall be the Commissioners, County Administrator Roman
Gastesi, County Attorney Bob Shillinger, Assistant County Attorneys Cynthia Hall and Derek
Howard, and a certified court reporter.

BOCC scheduled this closed session to be heard at 1:30 p.m. on June 15, 2016 in Key
Largo, Florida, or as soon thereafter as may be heard.
