The total Amendment No, 4 cost is not to exceed $69,583.50. ITEM BACKGROUND: The selected Organic Removal Contractor, JND Thomas, Inc., has initiated site activities at Canal #266 on Doctor's Arm Big Pine Key. The Contractor estimates project completion at 87 days. The currently funded number of days of field inspections and construction administration for AMEC Foster Wheeler oversight at Canal #266 is 30 days. The original contract specified the number of construction days may change when an engineered design was completed and the quantities of material to be removed were known. The larger volume of organic material required to be removed (final survey estimate was 8,200 cubic yards and the conceptual design was 1,529 cubic yards) and the Contractor's actual field estimate of dredging and dewatering times has created a need for additional days of project supervision. 57 days of field site inspections was required, the cost for overseeing the work is $39,823.50. to December 31, 2015 (in Amendment #3). An additional 5.5 months of project managernew administration services will be provided to complete the projects, at a cost of 29,760.00. V . . . . ... . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
