Approval of task order with Kisinger Campo & Associates, Corp.
for services for the Duck Key Bridge Replacement Cultural Resource Assessment Survey (CRAS)
for the amount of $159,979.26. The task order is being awarded under the On Call Contract for
Professional Services.
ITEM BACKGROUND:
Four Duck Key bridges were constructed in 1955 and are considered a
historically notable resource due to the decorative railings. Due to their condition and current
geometry which is too narrow to accommodate shoulders or sidewalks for pedestrians and cyclists,
the bridge assessment report recommends replacing them with new structures. Federal and state
laws contain legislation requiring a historical assessment for transportation projects on these
structures.
PREVIOUS RELEVANT BOCC ACTION:
In January 2014, the BOCC approved the On Call
contract for Professional Engineering Services between Monroe County and Kisinger Campo &
Associates.
In March 2014, the BOCC approved a task order for the Monroe County Bridge Inventory
Management Project between Monroe County and Kisinger Campo and Associates.
