Second Amendment to Agreement, adding authorized timekeepers,
between Monroe County and George A. Helm, III, P.A., provider of legal services for workers'
compensation claims, investigation, research and litigation.
ITEM BACKGROUND:
On November 20, 2013, the County and the law firm entered into an
agreement for legal services. The law firm is one of two outside la
compensation cases for the County. Paragraph 5 of the Agreement lists the attorneys and
timekeepers who will be working on county matters and provides their hourly billing rates. From
time to time it is necessary to revise the list of approved timekeepers. The First Amendment dated
November 20, 2013 revised the authorized timekeepers. This Second Amendment is also to revise
the authorized timekeepers. There are no other changes to the original agreement.
PREVIOUS RELEVANT BOCC ACTION:
The original agreement to provide legal services is
dated February 20, 2013. The First Amendment to the February 20, 2013 Agreement is dated
November 20, 2013 wherein the timekeepers were revised. All other terms and conditions of the
November 20, 2013 Agreement remains in full force and effective.
