AGENDA ITEM WORDING: Approval of Amendment No. 1 to the Master Agreement for
Professional Services with Jacobs Project Management Co. for General Consulting Services for both
Monroe County Airports, adding certain federal contract provisions to the master agreement.
ITEM BACKGROUND: In order to perform hurricane- related work, the Consultant's contract
must contain certain federal contract provisions.
PREVIOUS RELEVANT BOCC ACTION: On January 20, 2016, the BOCC granted approval to
advertise a Request for Qualifications for Airport Consultant Services. On November 22, 2016, the
BOCC approved the negotiation of fees pursuant to the Consultants Competitive Negotiation Act
with the top ranked respondents to the Request for Qualifications for Airport Consultant Services for
Monroe County, Florida. On February 15, 2016, the BOCC approved the master agreement for
professional services with Jacobs Project Management Co.

WITNESSETH:
WHEREAS, Hurricane Irma struck the Keys as a ® 4 storm causing extensive damage to
County properties including the Florida Keys Marathon International Airport and the Key West
International Airport, and
WHEREAS, FEMA will reimburse eligible Hurricane Irma costs for work performed by the
County's Consultant so long as the Consultant's contract contains certain federal contract
provisions-, and

NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of mutual promises, covenants and contracts stated
herein, and for other good and valuable consideration, the sufficiency of which is hereby
acknowledged, County and Consultant agree as follows:

shall have the right to terminate this agreement after five days written notification to the
Consultant.
