PREVIOUS RELEVANT BOCC ACTION: On September 9, 1998, Ordinance No. 026 -1998 was adopted in order to provide that the County Administrator may approve separate, non - cumulative change orders for construction projects and professional service contracts in amounts not to exceed $25,000.00 or 5% of the original contract price, whichever is greater. The BOCC requested a monthly report of all change orders considered by the County Administrator. According to the ordinance adopted by the Board of County Commissioners, proposed change orders are to be presented to members of the Board of County Commissioners prior to approval, assuming they are within the Administrator's prescribed limits. There have been issues with coordinating installation of the sheet metal duct and the fire sprinklers. We have been limited to completing these areas of work only during non - business hours, which has caused some delay of the critical path. Our updated schedule is attached showing the new substantial completion date of December 06, 2013. Sea Tech has every intention of accelerating the work progress to reduce the time indicated on the project schedule. Sea `Tech also anticipates less time from substantial completion to final completion, which should keep the final completion time within the 180 days allocated.
