CUDJOE REGIONAL WASTEWATER PROGRAM

1. Inner Islands' Collection Giannetti has installed over 12 miles of gravity and low
System pressure collection system pipelines on Cudjoe Key and Upper
Sugarloaf, along with service laterals, manholes, and pump
station wet wells.
Action: Pipe laying, trench restoration and directional
drilling. Pavement restoration work beginning this month.
Pricing additive gravity areas per County direction.
2. Advanced Wastewater
Wharton -Smith continues concrete work on major structures.
Treatment Facility
Electric and yard piping continue. Drilling of effluent injection
wells to begin this week.
Action: Complete structural work and site utilities. Complete
4 injection wells for effluent disposal.
3. Outer Islands' Collection
Layne performing gravity sewer work and LPS on Lower
System
Sugarloaf and on Ramrod Key. Design work on Big Pine
continues.
Action: Design, redesign for new gravity areas, construction,
project outreach and permitting elements are underway.
4. Public Information
FKAA continues to schedule meetings with the public and

interested groups to provide project status and to receive input.
Website updates ongoing.
Action: evening meetings held on Big Pine Key on November
4th and 7th. Other Big Pine Key meetings delayed until
redesign of new gravity areas has been developed.
S. On -Site Systems Easements have been received for many of the properties to be
connected for the first phase of on -site systems. Request for
Qualifications being advertised for survey and permitting
assistance to assist with system design.

construction elements of project.
