RE: Refund due to Monroe County error
On January 9, 2015, Karl Merrill of Merrill Homes Inc., paid $12,640.12 for Permit# 14104095. This
payment consisted of an overcharge by the Building Department in the amount of $1,522.54 due to a
miscalculation in the job valuation by the plans examiners during the plan review process. Mr. Merrill's
job valuation was erroneously calculated at $625,497.68, when it should have been calculated correctly
at $459,189.58. Mr. Merrill has requested a refund for the overpayment of fees in the amount of
$1,522.54.
