I will abstain from the vote on issues concerning the following entities: Guidance Care Center, Inc., a private. not -for -profit entity, which receives some of its operational funding from the County, as I currently sit on the Board of Directors of the Care Center. I am also a member of the Board of the Historic Florida Keys Foundation. Inc. ITEM BACKGROUND: One of the original proposed projects did not come to fruition resulting in a revised distribution of the approved projects and their funding. The grant adjustment reflects an increase of $3,000.00 in the award amount as a result of the redistribution of funding. FDLE also requested a modification to the state and federal purpose areas as well as a revision of the budget narrative to reflect a unit cost methodology. The grant adjustment addresses these items. PREVIOUS RELEVANT BOCC ACTION: At the January 21", 2015 BOCC the Board approved the Certificate of Acceptance of Sub -grant Award for Guidance/Care Center, In., d/b/a The fleron Assisted Living: Assisted Living Prevents Recidivism in Dually -Diagnosed Adults with Mental Illness & Substance Abuse project. On May 20, 2015 the BOCC approved a revised distribution of approved projects for submission to FDLE under the Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant program increasing the original award by $3,000.
